A delicious cream cheese frosting is the perfect topping for any spice cake, carrot cake or cupcake. It gives a freshness and bitterness that can battle the sweetness of any cake. It can also be a lifesaver if you have baked your cake for too long, and it has become dry. This frosting is perfect on top of this Spice cake with squash.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 lemon
Equipment:
Bowl
Mixer (poss. whisk)
Lemon squeezer
Instructions:
Squeeze the lemon, and put the juice in a bowl
In a seperate bowl, whisk the cream cheese and powdered sugar
Mix in the lemon juice a little at a time
Taste the cream a long the way to make sure it does not become too sour
