Cream cheese frosting
A delicious cream cheese frosting is the perfect topping for any spice cake, carrot cake or cupcake. It gives a freshness and bitterness that can battle the sweetness of any cake. It can also be a lifesaver if you have baked your cake for too long, and it has become dry. This frosting is perfect on top of this Spice cake with squash.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 lemon
Equipment:
- Bowl
- Mixer (poss. whisk)
- Lemon squeezer
Instructions:
- Squeeze the lemon, and put the juice in a bowl
- In a seperate bowl, whisk the cream cheese and powdered sugar
- Mix in the lemon juice a little at a time
- Taste the cream a long the way to make sure it does not become too sour
- Spread the cream on the cake
